Shoe sale calendar: when shoes are cheapest in the UK
Nesim Yılmaz · 19.10.2026
Shoe prices follow the seasons. If you know when retailers clear stock, you can save 30–50% without falling for fake discounts.
| When | What's discounted |
|---|---|
| Boxing Day – January | Winter boots, Chelsea boots, winter trainers (January sales) |
| March–April | Last year's running shoe models |
| Late June – August | Sandals, summer trainers (summer sales) |
| August–September | Hiking boots, trail shoes |
| Late November | Almost everything: Black Friday and Cyber Monday |
Getting Black Friday right
Some retailers nudge prices up in the weeks before. Check the price history before you buy: our "Just dropped" label shows when a price has genuinely fallen, and "Inflated discount" flags the opposite.
Rules of thumb
- Buy seasonal shoes at the end of the season, but not too late: by March, winter boots are often left only in UK 3 and UK 12.
- Watch for new versions: when the new model arrives, the old one gets cheap.
- Neutral colours are discounted less often than bold ones.
